IMPORTANT CHANGES TO MEAL PLANS

Available options:

  • 5/400/100 5-Weekly: 5 swipes per week + 400 points + $100 Flames Cash
  • 10/200/100 10-Weekly: 10 swipes per week + 200 points + $100 Flames Cash
  • 14/150/100 14-Weekly: 14 swipes per week + 150 points + $100 Flames Cash
  • 21/50* 21-Weekly: 21 swipes per week + 50 points

  • Swipe amounts are reset every Friday before breakfast
• Log in to ASIST to select a meal plan
• The first week, all students living on campus will be given the same plan:
14 swipes 50 points $20 Flames Cash (to be deducted from the plan you choose)
*If you select the 21/50 plan and spend the Flames Cash from the first week, you will be required to make a deposit to your Flames Cash account within 10 business days to cover the amount spent.
• The deadline to change your meal plan in ASIST is Thursday, Aug. 26, by 5 p.m.
• On Friday, Aug. 27, the meal plan you select will go into effect and any points and Flames Cash spent from the first week will be deducted from the selected meal plan.
• Learn the Flames Pass lingo to make life easier:
Swipe – One meal at Reber-Thomas Dining Hall or from Founder’s Food Court’s Classics line.
Points – Points are non-taxable and can be spent at any LU Dining location on campus. Unused points roll over from fall to spring semester; at the end of the spring semester unused points are forfeited.
Flames Cash – Flames Cash is a taxable, declining balance account. Available funds can be spent with any participating merchant on and off campus. Flames Cash accounts with a positive balance will remain open through the next semester or year for all registered students.

Important Dates
 

Tuesday, Aug. 17: Early residence hall check-in begins at 6 p.m. for new students (Financial Check-In must be complete)

Wednesday, Aug. 18: Reber-Thomas Dining Hall opens for lunch for new students Financial Check-In and orientation for new, transfer, and former undergraduate students

Wednesday – Saturday, Aug. 18-21: Orientation, freshman seminar and registration

Friday, Aug. 20: Residence halls open for returning students at 1 p.m. Meal plans begin at lunch for returning students Registration for returning and former students Monday, Aug. 23 Classes begin, 7:40 a.m.

Friday, Aug. 27: Last day to register; registration closes at 4 p.m. Last day to add or drop a class without receiving a grade Last day to adjust tuition.
