Alumni Benefits Keep Getting Better

The Liberty University Alumni Relations Office is pleased to announce that we have selected Nationwide Insurance as our new official insurance partner. Exclusive alumni benefits are just one way of reminding you that even though you’ve graduated, you are still an important part of Liberty.

Our goal is to partner with companies that demonstrate exemplary value in their products and services, and Nationwide more than meets these standards. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Nationwide is one of the largest and strongest diversified insurance and financial services organizations in the U.S.

Liberty alumnus and Nationwide Sales and Operations Director for the Mid-Atlantic region, Keith Captain (’00), was instrumental in helping to make these benefits available to the Liberty alumni family.

“As a Liberty graduate, I was thrilled to work on this and to develop the long-term agreement … I never imagined that my career would provide me with the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni in such a meaningful way,” Captain said.

Please visit the Alumni Benefits Web page to learn more about this partnership and how you can receive your discount beginning this month.

We hope that you and your family enjoy these exclusive Liberty alumni benefits!

Guiding Future Generations of Champions

The Liberty University Alumni Referral program is a great way for alumni to stay connected with their alma mater and encourage students to become Champions for Christ at Liberty. Selecting a college is a difficult decision, and alumni are able to provide helpful insight to prospective students who are seeking God’s plan for their lives.

Primary ways alumni participate in the referral program:

Referral materials
– Alumni can distribute material that includes a link to apply to Liberty for free (resident and online).
Alumni Scholarship – Alumni can give financially to any incoming student that has been accepted.
Events – Alumni can volunteer to work alongside a recruiter at an event and attend that event for free.

Interested alumni may sign up for the program by completing an application online or by emailing referral@liberty.edu.

We hope you’ll join us in encouraging prospective students to experience all that Liberty has to offer!

Alumnus Loves like Christ

Not long before He was crucified, Jesus said to His disciples, “As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34). Christ’s subsequent sacrifice on the cross served to demonstrate the full measure of His love and provided Christians with the perfect example of how to love one another. This past fall, Liberty University alumnus Todd Lamphere (’87) exhibited such love for fellow Liberty graduate Randal Miller (’83), and donated his kidney to Miller, who had long struggled with kidney failure.
